Your H.O.G.® Membership
Your H.O.G.® membership card is your key to enjoying your benefits. Sign the back of it and carry it with you to take advantage of all of the programs, benefits, and services outlined in your manual. If you lose your card, a replacement is available for a $5.00 handling charge.
A one-year full membership is automatically issued to the purchaser of a new unregistered Harley-Davidson motorcycle. An automatic membership is generated to the individual whose name first appears on the title. Memberships are not generated for motorcycles titled in a company name. If you are a current yearly H.O.G.® member at the time of a new unregistered Harley-Davidson® motorcycle purchase, please advise your Harley-Davidson® dealer that you are a current H.O.G.® member. Provide your membership number at the time of sale to receive an automatic one-year extension. This will prevent a duplicate membership from being generated. If your mailing address changes, please notify the H.O.G.® office as soon as possible.
There are four types of H.O.G.® memberships. Both full and full life memberships are designed for the passenger or family member of a full member.
Full Membership: Good for one year. It entitles the member to all of the benefits and services of the Harley Owners Group.
Associate Membership: Good for one year. It entitles the member to a number of benefits. Every associate member must have a sponsoring full member.
Full Life Membership: Entitled to all of the benefits or a full member, as well as a special life member patch and pin.
Associate Life Membership: Entitled to all of the benefits of an associate member, as well as a special life member patch and pin. Every associate life member must have a sponsoring full life member. (Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.)
Before your H.O.G.® membership expires, you will be invited to renew. When you do so, you will continue to be eligible for all benefits, programs, and services, plus receive a specially designed renewal patch and pin, as well as an updated Americas Touring Handbook (full members) and Membership Manual. (Please allow 4-6 weeks for deliver.) You can renew at any time during the year; two and three year renewals are also available.
Harley-Davidson® dealers throughout the world sponsor local H.O.G.® chapters. Joining a chapter is a great way to meet new friends with whom to ride, participate in chapter activities, and have a lot of fun. See your Harley-Davidson® dealer for information on joining a local H.O.G. chapter and the benefits it offers. Harley-Davidson dealers sponsoring a local H.O.G.® chapter are indicated with a asterisk in your Touring Handbook or can be found through the Harley-Davidson® dealer locator on
www.harley-davidson.com . (All local chapter members must be current national H.O.G.® members.)
Ladies of Harley® (LOH) offers members a special embroidered patch and pin during the first year of membership. Each renewal year, LOH members receive an LOH pin indicating the year of membership.
You must be an active full or associate member of H.O.G.® to be affiliated with Ladies of Harley®. Although LOH is free of charge to active H.O.G.® members, the Ladies of Harley® benefit is not automatic. If you would like to join, please contact the H.O.G.® office.
H.O.G. Canada hosts one stationary rally per year, exclusively for H.O.G.® members (no guests). Several regional rallies are hosted by local chapters with the guidance of H.O.G.® Canada. Guest policies are specified for each regional rally
Hog Tales®
The official publication of the Harley Owners Group®, is sent bimonthly to all full H.O.G.® members. Hog Tales® features information about H.O.G.® benefits and services, events around the world, member stories, and updates on the Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
Harley-Davidson's® own magazine, Enthusiast®, has been entertaining and informing Harley-Davidson® enthusiasts since 1916! Enthusiast® is the oldest continually published motorcycle magazine in the world. This magazine is a great source for the latest news about the company, its products, and its activities. Enthusiast® is a benefit to full members of the Harley Owners Group®. You will receive Enthusiast® three to four times a year! Along with six issues of Hog Tales®, you'll be sure to enjoy lots of good Harley reading!
